Why I Started NextPhase DELCO

By Dane Czaplicki

—and how an unlikely partnership made it all possible.

We’re the average of the people we spend the most time with.
If you want to get better—surround yourself with others who are trying to do the same.

That’s it. That’s the root.

As I’ve gotten older, I stopped trying to outrun where I came from and started running with it.
DELCO runs deep in me.

This is where I was raised. Where I’m raising my family.
And the more I travel, the more I love coming back.

But I don’t just want to come back—I want to come back to a better version of the place I love.

So we built NextPhase DELCO—a high-trust mastermind for growth-minded business owners who live here, serve here, and want to grow together.

We didn’t just build NextPhase DELCO for business owners

We built it for the community we love. When local professionals collaborate at a higher level, DELCO residents win. Families navigating big transitions—selling a longtime home, planning for retirement, caring for parents, or simply asking “what’s next?”—deserve trusted, conflict-free guidance. By holding each other accountable, we make sure the services we provide are sharper, more intentional, and rooted in values that strengthen Delaware County. The ripple effect is simple: stronger businesses, stronger families, stronger community.

For you awesome DELCO businesses out there…

This isn’t networking.

It’s accountability.
It’s alignment.
It’s a place to:

  • Cast your 5-year vision

  • Break it into 1-year goals

  • Sharpen your focus with 12-week plans

  • Show up weekly with your Top 5 priorities—and no excuses

This is where momentum lives.
Where peer support meets real strategy.
Where professionals help each other grow because they’re done pretending, too.

Why I Did It

Because I’ve felt that quiet, frustrating gap between success and fulfillment.
I had enough—but wanted more.
Not more of the same.
More than enough.

More truth.
More purpose.
More authenticity.
More community.

Someone once helped me strip away the noise—helped me rediscover my core value of GROW:
Growth. Relationships. Ownership. Wanderlust.

That changed me.

Now I build accountability into every corner of my life.
I don’t run alone—I ruck, hike, pace others. And somehow… it hurts less when we do it together.

It’s the same with business.

And Then Came Sara

To be honest, we’re not even sure how it started.
But somewhere along the way, Sara Fritz and I became unlikely but perfect partners.

Both of us were transitioning out of older roles and into something new.
Both of us were leaning into growth—not just professionally, but personally.
And both of us were deeply rooted in DELCO, with a shared love for community, service, and doing things the right way.

Sara is one of the most thoughtful, service-driven people I know—steeped in hospitality, high-end care, and empathy. She brings grace and professionalism to some of life’s most stressful transitions, and that energy now lives in everything we do at NextPhase.

We saw eye-to-eye on values, vision, and what NextPhase could become—not just for business owners, but for the community we love.

So Why Did We Do It?

To create a place where ambitious business owners in DELCO don’t have to go it alone.
To create a structure that actually moves the needle.
To reconnect people to their vision—and then hold them to it.

To build better businesses to serve our community.

And for me personally?

I want to meet 1,000 DELCO business owners—and help them let go of what got them here, so they can grow into what gets them there.

Because I’m not done.
I’m just done pretending.

And if you are too—let’s grow together.
