Why I Did NextPhase DELCO

By: Noah Glassman

When my family and I moved to Delaware County two years ago, we knew this would be our last move. We wanted a place to raise our kids, build a life, and eventually retire — our “forever home.” What I quickly realized was how deep and genuine the long-term relationships are here, and how this community embodies everything I want for myself and my family. Like any endeavor worth undertaking, you only get out what you put in. So I made the decision to give to this community passionately — not with the expectation of being embraced in return, but simply because it’s the right way to live.

That challenge pushed me to do more than just live here — I wanted to really belong here. I wanted to find a way to meet people who care about growth, accountability, and community, not just business transactions.

It all started with a simple comment to co-founder of NextPhase DELCO Dane Czaplicki before an early morning hike around Media.

“I’ll tell you what man, I love it here but I’m finding it incredibly hard to make any kind of headway in the community.”

That’s when Dane invited me to his office to hear about NextPhase DELCO. It isn’t about swapping cards at a networking event. It’s about surrounding yourself with people who challenge you to grow, who share openly, and who are invested in both their businesses and their community. That kind of environment not only helps me grow as a professional, but also as a parent, a neighbor, and a long-term member of this county.

For me, joining is about planting deeper roots. In the short time we’ve been here this community has already given us so much. Our children are flourishing, my wife is realizing her dream of starting a personal training gym, and I’ve had the opportunity to coach my son’s flag football team. I want to do my part to strengthen the fabric of this county — not only by serving small businesses, but by showing up consistently as a contributor, a connector, and a community member.

NextPhase gives me a way to align with others who feel the same. It’s a place where we can hold each other accountable, share lessons learned, and create momentum that benefits not just us, but the families and residents of Delaware County.

Because at the end of the day, this is more than where I work. This is home. And I want to help make it stronger.
